Who we are

We’re Martine and Alex, a couple in our 30s living in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, and we genuinely can’t imagine our lives without dogs.

Martine
I’m originally from Norway and have been dog sitting since 2021. My love for animals started early—so early that my parents used to take me around the neighbourhood just so I could spend time with people’s animals. Puppies, cats, horses, sheep, cows, goats… even fish. You name it—I was obsessed.

I grew up with a family dog from the age of seven, and as an adult I raised my own dog from just eight weeks old. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve often been told I have a natural way with them. Understanding their needs, personalities, and emotions comes instinctively to me, and it’s something I genuinely treasure.

Alex
Alex is from Coventry and has experience looking after his father’s dog. Since we started dog sitting here in 2024, he’s been fully involved—and quickly became a firm favourite with the dogs. They absolutely adore him, he will never turn down a play session and his friendly, playful presence helps dogs feel happy, safe and at home.

Pups at Home is a small, home-run dog care service in Leamington Spa, led by Martine and Alex. Built on experience, trust, and a lifelong love of dogs, we provide personal, home-from-home care where every dog is treated like one of our own, with a focus on comfort, routine, and genuine connection.

Your dog’s happiness, comfort, and safety are always our top priorities. Having dogs around brings us so much joy, and our home truly feels empty without them. We treat every dog as if they were our own, with patience, affection, and respect for their individual needs.

We especially love building long-term relationships with both dogs and their owners, welcoming familiar faces back again and again. Getting to know different breeds—and each dog’s unique personality—is a privilege we never take for granted.

Our Home

We believe dogs settle best in a calm, comfortable home environment, which is exactly what we offer.

Our home is a cosy, dog-friendly bungalow in Leamington Spa, designed with safety and comfort in mind. With no stairs, it’s ideal for dogs of all ages, from young dogs to seniors. Inside, dogs are free to relax with us as part of everyday life—whether that’s playing, resting, or enjoying a cuddle on the sofa.

Outside, we have a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely explore, play, and enjoy fresh air throughout the day. We’re also lucky to be close to several local parks, giving us plenty of options for walks, variety, and gentle adventures beyond the garden.

Most importantly, our home is never a kennel environment. We keep numbers small so every dog gets plenty of personal attention and feels settled, safe, and truly at home from the moment they arrive.
